OTFEC accreditation

Awarded OFTEC accreditation

Following an extremely thorough audit process that demonstrated our competence across all key areas, we’re delighted to have been awarded accreditation by the Oil Fired Technical Association (OFTEC).

Recognised by government, manufacturers, distributors and consumers for commitment to excellence, OFTEC’s role not only provides audits, inspections and comprehensive technical support, but extends into promoting the industry through a trade association.

As well as services for the liquid fuelled heating industry, OFTEC has diversified significantly to include a competent person scheme, as well as support for a range of heating technologies including solid fuel and renewable technologies – reflecting the diverse off-gas heating industry of today.

Ian Mathieson, operations director at James Ramsay, said: “We always aim to empower our team to deliver safety, quality and value to solve our customers’ industrial and commercial heating and pipework problems. Collectively, our experience and technical expertise make us the experts in our field, and we strive to stay at the forefront, which is why industry recognition and accreditation is vitally important to our business and everyone who works here.”

OFTEC is a leading trade organisation for the heating and cooking industries in the UK and Republic of Ireland.  Leading the way in the off-gas grid heating sector, OFTEC’s vision is for all consumers to have safe and efficient heating. It achieves this by working with manufacturers of heating equipment, training providers, UKAS, LABC and other industry experts.
